About:If you have a hankering for Southern cooking, you owe it to yourself to try this out-of-the-way eatery. Nothing to shout about here, but the not at all flashy space should be thought of as thoughtfully withholding a distraction from the wonderful food. The portions, like meatloaf or catfish, are large and come with a choice of generous and delicious side dishes like Black-eyed Peas, Potato Salad, Sweetened Yams, Southern-style Greens, and Macaroni and Cheese.

    First of all the owner of this establishment has quite a reputation in the neighborhood for picking and choosing which criminals can and cannot enter the place. The allow people to sell drugs in plain sight of other patrons and do drugs in the bathroom. I went there and had to share the bathroom with people that were actually smoking drugs. The cooks change up quite often from one drug adict to another. I have seen bugs (roaches) and they have quite a few gnats that swarm around your drinks while you are trying to enjoy them. The gnats are so bad that the bartender offers you a extra coaster upon giving you your beverage order to put over your glass to keep the unwanted gnats from falling in. The floor is uneven and has caused numerous people (drunks and sober) to fall. All around I think the entire place should be shut down. It's not only a eye sore, it gives the central area community a bad name. SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!

    Enjoyed the food and the company: The food was great , it did not take long to be seated. Me and a few friends with here a couple years back .Mind you we both are Gentlemen of Leisure and we did have two White American women with us .Couldn`t have felt more at home and no strange eyes .Service was excellent , has that down home style to the place also
