| About: | Rosebud Restaurant and Bar is hard to miss due to its black and white striped awning. The interior is casual and simple, and the walls feature an ever changing display of works by local artists. The menu runs the gamut of flavors and includes Asian, French, Italian and Mediterranean influences. You can't go wrong with favorites such as lavender lamb bolognaise with papperdel and pasta with a light pesto cream sauce and canollini beans. The brunch menu is also quite impressive, featuring eggs florentine and morning pasta. For dessert, make sure you savor the very tempting 'layered mousse with white and dark chocolate'. |

YUM!!!! My son and I dined here yesterday morning and were blown away!
I had eggs benedict with the absolute best hollandaise I have ever had. Even better than mine which is pretty awesome. Rudy, our server, even brought Tabasco without me asking. We adored Rudy! He was very personable, fun to visit with (when he had a moment) and does his job so well.
My son had the special of the day: an omelet with smoked gouda, mushrooms and some other fillings I forget. It was made perfectly and was so good.
I had 2 Bloody Mary's. Steven, the bartender, even asked how spicy I wanted them. He makes one awesome Mary!
We met the owner, Robert, too, and told him how much we had enjoyed his restaurant and that we would be back. I just wish I could go today!
I've been coming to Rosebud for brunch for some time and always been happy. But lately the food has gotten really bad. I had a scramble egg dish that was always great. This time it was runny , greasy and looked just awful. My friend had the strawberry pancakes. We waited a good 25 minutes to get them, and the strawberries on top were purplish brown! They were way past their prime verging on rotting. We told the waiter that this wasn't acceptable and he was actually rather pissy with us! So he took the plates away and we just left. Its so sad to see a good place go bad and fast!
1st date spot: I took my fiance there on our first date, and it went over well. not the swankiest decor, but the people are great, and the food was enjoyable. a hint pricy, but the best steak I have had downtown, not at a steak joint.
