My kids call this place 'the burrito shop.' Every few weeks we go here for dinner when we just don't feel like cooking. The place is almost always busy though we rarely wait more than a minute for a table. The food is great, the margaritas tasty (not too sweet), and the service quick and friendly. I must agree with another reviewer that the verde sauce is excellent. While I usually order enchiladas or a chimichanga, my forays into other parts of the menu have been enjoyable. My wife consistently orders one of their wet burritos.
Local chain, authentic style: This is more authentic Mexican food than most others around Seattle. The verde sauce is as good as it gets. Some good seafood dishes most Mexican places don't have like Siete Mares (Seven Seas) soup and Pescado Frito (deep fried fish). Really good taco al a carte choices including all the ones Mexicans eat like tripe, tongue and such. Try the BBQ chicken soft tacos. The margaritas here may be the best value in town as well as some of the better ones period.
Pros: Food, service, parking, clean, good value
Cons: Sometimes a wait at peak times.
hidden treasure: Taqueria Guaymas is a small family restaurant that emphasizes the importance of fast, friendly customer service. The tacos are cheap and the entrees are spicy and hot off the grill. Most importantly, the drinks are worth every penny...the best grande margaritas around. So if you are looking for a great first date restaurant or a spot to take the whole family on a Friday night, this is definately the place. You won't be disappointed!
