RIP OFF!! My girlfreind took me here for my birthday after leaving she said she didnt want to say anything but my drinks were really expensive "double Mojito". $22 each. I had three that I had her try mine compared to her singles and they tasted the same.. Im a bartender and had a couple of ladies come in both of them work there. One a bartender, the othere a waitress. I told them what had happened they said Oh yeah its just the way it is. The way it is is a RIP OFF. Also the food was average at best.
Not to long ago i had a first date here. The atmosphere was wonderful. Not too low key, not too romantic and some of the other guests were a hoot. The food was wonderful, and the waiter, well he was a little annoying but that's just becuase he was a little too perky for my taste. I'm sure he's just right for many other folks. The location itself is gorgeous. It was a cold day, snowing on the waterfront and i was able to go for a quick stroll outside after dinner. Talk aobut wonderful ambiance. THe only downside i would have to talk about was the Nutcrakers around the place were lit really strangely (it was christmas time). EIther i'm a little spooked by nutcrackers or they looked a little evil. I recommend heading to salty's... ymmmmmmmmmy
Great chowder, great crabcakes, excellent coconut shrimp, so-so calamari. Thought $30 for a fish stew was ridiculous until I tasted it and decided that was about right. Make sure and get the sherry added to the chowder. Bacon / spinach salad was a winner, too. Beer? The Salty's brown was a little weak but the Mac & Jack's was most tasty.
I'll put this place on my list of places to come back too.
