| About: | Those saddened by the closing of Hilbo's Alligator Soul by Green Lake in Seattle should make the drive to this Everett spot. The decor suggests the Southern heat, or that might be the burning in your mouth. Chef Hilary Craig blends Cajun, Creole and other South-of-Southern influences to deliver gumbos and catfish plates, etouffee and ribs, all of which shine like the Mississippi on a hot afternoon. For dessert, try the bread pudding or the pecan pie. The restaurant has free parking, outdoor seating and live music from Wednesday to Saturday nights. |

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star!! My husband went and ate there, brings me a to go order and it is packaged HORRIBLE. Stuff is falling out of the box. They put onions in the meat. Which I am alergic to onions, and the menu online didn't say that there was anything except meat and bun. I am furious what a waste of money. I also ordered the fried pickles and they were gross. Way to much seasoning!!! The fries were soggy as well as the fried pickles. Soggy bread.. will never eat there again. Worst food ever!
Soooooo good. My husband did the plumbing for the restaurant when they opened and we tried the food at a friends-and-family soft opening. I told Chef Ryan about several food allergies I have and he knew exactly what to recommend and was totally accommodating. I ate the creole hot pot and I have been back several times and ordered it again. (I also loved the side of greens!) A great place to go when you are in the mood for a totally different kind of cuisine you probably wouldn't ordinarily make yourself.
OMG!!! Rating between 1-10 I would say a 12 it's that good!
On a business trip and I was just tired of the standard chain restaurant.I decided to just give this place a try even though the day before dinner was so forgettable. Our waiter was fantastic and attentive, he knew his menu and suggest the shrimp creole for my business partner and for me I had the pecan crusted fish. The meal was soooooo big more than enough and had a good presentation. I wished I had more days here so I can feast on the variety of their big menu. Oh, there was live music easy on the ear so you can still have a conversation. Folks go there and make sure you save room for dessert.
