DR. CAVANAGH IS A SUPERIOR VET! I wish I could add a "+" to the 5 star rating. Dr. Cavanagh is an amazing, extremely knowledgeable and caring vet. Back in 2003 my little pit/chow had TPLO surgery done for the second time. The first time her surgery was performed at WSU--I lived in Ellensburg, WA at that time. I raved about WSU's vet hospital, they were great. A few years later when she needed her other knee done I wasn't living in Ellensburg any longer, I was in Redmond, WA. That said, I searched and searched the internet for vets with high ratings for TPLO surgeries and I found Tim Cavanagh in Arlington, WA. He exceeded my expectations and even, in my eyes, was better than WSU. Don't get me wrong, WSU was fantastic but Dr. Cavanagh is astounding! Dr. Cavanagh is now the vet I will always go to with ANY of my pet concerns! Just recently I referred a friend to him that had a large dog with shoulder soreness that did not get better with her vet's recommendations. Finally, after 6 months of her dog's shoulder issues getting worse, I told her to bring her dog to see Dr. Cavanagh. He took a single xray and was able to diagnose the problem right away. Unfortuneately her dog had osteosarcoma (bone cancer). My point here is that for 6 months and lots of money the dog's issue was never pinpointed until Dr. Cavanagh was brought into the picture. She has now changed her vet for both her pups to Dr. Cavanagh. Even though Dr. Cavanagh is much farther a drive than her previous vet, quality, knowledge, experience and expertise rank higher than short drive time.
