I would only recommend this place if you have a photographic memory. A friend and I went to visit the Burke and immediately we were disappointed. The place is small for a museum, and the biggest disappointment was no photographs allowed. At all, Even without a flash.
The old lady behind the desk made me give her my camera so she could keep track of it and then proceeded to follow my friend and I around the museum watching everything we did. I haven't been treated like a juvenile deliquent since high school. If I had been the one paying for the tickets we would have left. But my friend wanted to see so we went in and wondered around for an hour and left. Some of the displays would have made some interesting pictures. Parking was awful expensive too. 12 Bucks for a day pass, we were on campus for 90 minutes.
