   My favorite restaurant: I've been going to Chapalita ever since I was a wee Laura, it's the best! The staff is super nice, the food is always good, and the prices are more than fair. The parking kinda stinks sometimes and it always runs the risk of closing during flood season, but my family goes like once a week pretty much and will continue to do so!!!

   the mexican place for me: My friends and family frequent the "CHAP" as we all call it quite often. A great deal, always plenty of food for the price, and we never feel shorted in any way.And we have tried elsewhere and always find ourselves comparing to the chap.

   My favorite Mexican Restaurant: Chapalita is, quite frankly, the best Mexican I've had, hands-down. It's a family-run business in downtown Mount Vernon, and there hasn't been a single time I've gone there that I haven't come away pleased - and stuffed. Their food is excellent, their service prompt, their restaurant cute, and the prices are pretty decent for the mound of food you get. The staff recognizes my family when we come in, and nine times out of ten remember what we usually order. All in all, I have nothing bad to say about the place. If you have a chance, definitely check it out.
