We've been going to Nana Carmela's every since we discovered Monroes best kept secret three years ago! If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy that true Italian atmosphere, this is the place! If you're there to get a meal and get out, find somewhere else. Jim is an amazing chef and takes his time to prepare each and every meal to be nothing less then perfect! From the wine in the lobby to mouth watering desserts, this place is worth your time. It doesn't matter if you are looking for a romantic evening alone or a special family night, Nana Carmela's is sure to please! If your service is less then fantastic, Nana Carmela's will make it right! A FIVE STAR in my book. Be sure to get a reservation!

Really love the food here - never a bad meal. Service is pretty poor though- ridiculously slow the last three times we ate there- we keep giving them another try. Always busy, you will need a reservation. Cost is reasonable for the quality of food.

Great Food - Great Service - Great Atmosphere: I grew up in an Italian home with an Italian mother & grandmother who both cooked exceptional Italian dishes. However, I have to say, that Nana's has them both beat with the best authentic Italian food I have ever eaten. I am now spoiled and dissatisfied with every other Italian restaurant that I have eaten at since my first visit to Nana's.

In most restaurants, I usually have one favorite item on their menu, that I always order, because of being disapointed when ordering something different. That isn't the case at Nana's. I believe that I have ordered every item on Nana's menu, at least once, and have never been disapointed. I love it all!!

The prices may seem high until you realize that you will probably be taking home enough left-overs for a second meal. I usually will have enough left-overs for 2 - 3 lunches.

Besides the food, the service is exceptional. The owner treats his customers as if they were guests in his house. You'll find him cooking in the kitchen, greating you at the door with a glass of wine, or checking on you at your table to ask if everything is alright - filling your water glass. If he has time, you might even get a funny story.

The music in the backround is usually some wonderful Italian singer like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or Tony Bennet.

Call for reservations days in advance if you want to get a table!! You won't be disapointed!
