User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNice find - sunny deck overlooking the marina, service was very friendly and pleasant when we were there. Salmon tacos and salmon wrap were perfect, and these folks have the best french fries to be found anywhere; crispy perfect!

The Main Streed Ale House does not live up to the other restaurants this owner operates. We enjoy the food at the Timberhouse in Quilcene but the food in Kingston was horrid. Burnt and overcooked! The service was as bad as the food. Asked how our meal was, and after we explained the rather "well done"nature we were asked by our server to never come back! No adjustment on the bill! Very unprofessional!
So if you are thinking on stopping in be prepared for high prices, bad food and poor service. You would do better to drive a few miles out of your way and get your moneys worth! Not a place to visit. -

The service can be spotty at times and not always attentive. The bartender, will sometimes charge you for food or drinks that you have not ordered. Food is great but their business practices seem dishonest.

Don't know what you ordered, but I'm a local who eats at the Ale House regularly, am known by sight and name by the entire staff, and only once in the past year had a meal that wasn't 100% delicious, prepared and served well. The staff is friendly, efficient, concerned and up to snuff. The menu and wine list are teriffic for a small town. I you want "snob" food and service, go to Seattle...you'll find no snobbery at Main Street Ale House, Kingston...just great food and drink and friendly, qualified service.
As a regular Brad, I am sure that you receive special treatment. I know I do when I am regular at my favorite places. However, for the rest of us who do not frequent or are first time visitors it is a different story. The circumstance has not changed. The food was burnt and the waitress was unprofessional! BTW I have heard she is no longer there. Cudos to the owner.
