Awful experience at Amy's on the Bay
In the past, I've loved going to Amy's and taking out of town guests for a lovely, generously portioned meal with polite, courteous servers.I ordered a meal to pick up after a long day at work and was severely disappointed in the portion size. When I picked up the order, only half was there! When I called management, I was told somebody made a mistake and I had to ask if it was okay to come down and pick up the rest of the order! The order was cold and I live less than five minutes away. The portion size (which the manager informed me was 2 - 2 1/2 ounces for each piece of fish) was less than an ounce a piece - I thought I'd bought rolls and french fries they were so small! Needless to say I'm so very disappointed in this establishment that I will not go back...I'll make the journey "across the water" when looking for a decent seafood meal!
Very good food, Friendly service. Always take a sweater, can be chilly in the winter because concrete floors, large window space. I average $25.00 for dinner without alcohol so I don't go as often as I would like to. Amy's father is always there and seems to enjoy talking with the customers. Were you aware Amy is hearing impared? Doesn't seem to stop her, though.
