We bought a new 2009 Nissan Merlot Murano SL AWD from Chris Houston 2 years ago. When we took it in for its last oil change at 22,000 miles, the service manager told us we need new tires. We had to pay $800 for new tires for a two year old car with 22,000 miles on it. The sales staff needs to familiarize themselves with product and be honest with buyer. To pay that kind of money for a new car and only get that mileage out of the new tires is a ripoff. No more business with him or "Take" Advantage Nissan.
They sold us our Nissan Altima a year ago. When we went to trade it in we found out it was in an accident and they did not tell us. The car was not worth the money we paid for it. Also when we went in they added $1,400 to the price from the internet price
Sadly that happens a lot. Dealers are not required to tell you that info unless you ask. Then by law they need to disclose everything and pay themselves for the carfax report to show you the vehicle history. They are not upfront about it for that reason though you need to dig and research. Sorry for your misfortune.
I have dealt with a lot of auto dealerships over the years, and the experience is universally the same everywhere. I would usually decline to review any automobile purchasing because of this fact, but there is one mitigating factor at Advantage Nissan that made my recent purchase of a new Nissan Frontier a very positive experience, and that was the sales person. Jon Rohlman was obviously working for the dealership, but he represented my interests every step of the way through this experience. Because of him, I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to my friends and family. If he decides to work elsewhere, however, my loyalties will move with him.
There is no point of disclosure here. I had not met Jon before arriving at this dealership, and our contact since has been regarding my new truck.
