While I've not had the pleasure of visiting Jimmy's in a while now, since I no longer live on the Island (but am moving back soon! Yay! =), my husband and I used to eat there fairly often for years (99-05), and I've been there several times since, though as I said above, none real recent, but I can't say enough about this restaurant, and I really hope they didn't change ownership, because I have a hard time believing new owners, or even just new management, would do the outstanding job that everyone there, from the cooks to the waitresses and hostesses to the dishwashers, have always done! The food is always outstanding and so reasonably priced - I've wondered how they stayed in business - the service great, and we always received our food in a timely manner and piping hot! I can vouch for their version of a meat lover's pizza, as well as the supreme, the pepperoni, and the customized version of a hawaiian style pizza that I always get, with the traditional pineapple and canadian bacon/ham, plus extra cheese, black olives and mushrooms! I've also had their spaghetti, lasagna, Chicken Marsala, and Linguini. The pasta is always completely done but not starchy or sticky, the sauces all taste made from scratch with fresh ingredients, the breads are always fresh and still hot when they come to the table, and the salad greens are crisp, and tomatoes that taste like they just came out of my garden! The first time ever that we ate there, we picked up a pizza to eat at home, because we were still unpacking and didn't want to cook at home. The weight of the pizza box surprised me so much that I nearly dropped it, trying to correct the sudden dip it took, along with my arm, when I didn't add enough resistance to counter the weight of the thing! And with five toppings that I chose from a long list of possibles, it was only about $15 for a large pizza at the time, though I believe the price has gone up a little since. The portions are so large and the pizza so well-covered with toppings that even my husband can never finish his, and we always have leftovers for our lunches the next day, which is just fine by us! Their service is always good - quick and accompanied by warm and genunine smiles, and it's the one place in Stanwood that, to this day, I have yet to ever have to ask for a refill on my beverage, whether coffee, tea, water, or soda! I've always been asked either before I was finished with my beverage, or just as I was thinking that I should ask soon, because it was almost gone. The waiters and waitresses there have always been right there with service when we've needed anything, but unlike in some of the five-star restaurants in larger cities I've eaten at, I've never felt uncomfortable or like I was being watched while eating due to being hovered over noticeably. The staff simply pay attention and care! More than once when we've gone, we left a tip that either matched or came close to matching the amount of the total bill, because we received outstanding service and the bills weren't nearly as high as we'd expected them to be. It's a great place to eat, and the friends we've told about it have always later thanked us for sharing it! There is only one thing that I could think of that anyone could complain about - if you go there, especially on the weekends around regular mealtimes, make sure you get there before you are terribly hungry, because as the word has spread, the place stays pretty crowded, and every time we've gone, it was a little longer than the last time, and finding parking has become a problem, as well! Though it's tough to wait for a table with such tantalizing smells making your mouth water and stomach rumble, I'm very happy to see that they have been so successful, because this really is a great place!

I love their pizza! The one that used to be called the Jimmy's special, now the Paisano, is a combo pizza that has shrimp on it! Love it. This is the one place where I actually eat the crust. The cheese bread is also a must have.

I've been here several times and usually it's great, but my recent lunch experience was not good. First of all, please do not have your only hostess wearing a hands free phone. I saw three groups of people meet with embarassment when they realized the conversation the hostess was having was not with them. Second, please teach the hostess to smile and not roll her eyes. Third, when your seating elderly people or people with obvious difficulty walking, please take into consideration not to seat them in the very back of the room. I thought the problems would end with the hostess but I was wrong. Two people in my party ordered a ravioli dish that promised pine nuts. We counted exactly three pine nuts between the two dishes. The other food ordered didn't seem up to par either that day. I heard a rumor that this place is under new ownership - I hope that is not true and I definately hope my experience was a one time only occurance. (Head's up - please note that the web site link shown by Yahoo local for Jimmy's does not go to this Jimmy's but to another chain in the Midwest.)
