Recent visit 27 May 2008. I made a reservation for three. I was in town for business and wanted to see some relatives. What an unexpected surprise this place was! The service was excellent, the setting very quaint, and the food superb! There speciality is the duck and I have to say, it is the best duck I have ever eaten. The seafood dishes were much better than most of of those that I have tried at the more recognizable seafood restaurants in Seattle and surrounding areas. Word of mouth and repeat visits are the best compliments I can pay to this restaurant. I am going back today, 10 June 2008, with my wife and an uncle who lives in Sequim. This is a place I plan to revisit every time I come to this area of Washington State.
One of the best places I have ever eaten. This place is small, cozy, with great food and service. The quality and size of the dishes would stand up to any of the finest places in New York, London or Paris that I have been to.
A "Must Do" everytime we are in the area: We have had some of the best meals ever at La Fermata. As diners who eat in places large and small all over the world, we like La Fermata more than almost any other. The food is innovative Italian. Very light without any sign of heavy red sauce. Go there - you'll love it!
