User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI'm a senior citizen that is very satisfied with the service I've received for over three years at West Sound Automotive now in Silverdale,WA My Husband used to take care of all of our vehicle needs, but now that he is gone I rely on Doug Thumma and his team of experts. They do all my maintenance, and anything else that comes up.They give me an estimate before they start the job,so I know ahead of time how much money I'll be spending.. There was a time when the price was even much less. When Shane got into the repair he realized it wasn't near as bad as he thought and the repair did not need to be done yet and still hasn't. They could have charged me the original estimate and I would not have known that he didn't do that extra work. I appreciate their honesty and the quality of their work.When I call to make an appointment they usually get my car in within a day or two.I would not go to anyone else for repairs or service. Thanks guys.

They replaced my broken hose and did not try to tell me more hoses or stuff need to be fixed/replace as I have found with other repair shops. West Sound kept my broken hose to show me where and why (and that it did come off my car)
Don't beleave one person who had a bad experiance and is still posting sour grapes.

Beware of West Sound Automotive.
I took my truck to West Sound Automotive to have a transmission leak fixed. I took it there 5 times and it was worked on 4 times. West Sound Automotive misdiagnosed the leak but I was charged each time. I tried to work it out with the owner, but he was non-negotiable. I had to have the transmission rebuilt due to their "improper" work as the judge put it. I was awarded over $3,700.00. I have yet to receive the judgement. They still have a couple of days to pay before further action will be taken (May 3, 2009).
It would seem West Sound Automotive would accept responsibility and honor the judgement.
West Sound Automotive is quick to take your money, but slow to pay for damages.
My recommendation: Find a reputable mechanic that will warranty their work and honor their reputation.
