User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy son took me to El Gaucho in Tacoma last night for the first time. The food was absolutely the best. Service was the A1. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience.

I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because our last visit was not up to previous standards.We are going again soon and will withhold further opinion until then. Every previous experience has been exceptional, We prefer the Tacoma location to Seattle. However, I have noted a slight drop off in quality and service. There has been a big turnover in staff and I think this may have impacted the kitchen also. Our last visit featured a table made Caesar Salad that was dripping with dressing and a wonderful Filet Mignon that was ruined by too much salt. I thought my Manhattan was poorly made, but my wife's Old Fashioned was one of the best she has had.
We frequent El Gaucho quite often and we missed the usual call back to see how our experience had been. Usually El Gaucho is near the top of our favorites list. We will know more after our next visit. -

My beautiful girlfriend took me to dinner for my birthday to El Gauchoâs. It was recommended by a friend just on the quality of their steaks and service alone. I am an aficionado of quality steaks and I must say the Porterhouse I had was one of the best steaks I have ever had the pleasure to sink my teeth into. I also must recommend the spicy shrimp as an appetizer.
