I am the woman who's husband got sick. Refer to the reply to the ONE negative comment. I also left my purse/briefcase. When I got my husband home, I called to find the Owner came in just to put my belongings in his safe. Above and beyond the call o duty!
Bravo, Bravo and thanks bunches!
I never order straight off the menu, I decide what and how I want things and see how the chef and house responds. My food was excellent, cooked to perfection, exactly how I wanted with not even a raised eyebrow. I used to own a 4 star restaurant in Carmel and like to see what restaurant is made of so I always order my way. I never let people know my background and enjoy the different responses. Europa is excellent in every way.
We NEVER GOT SERVED!!: A group of us mid-20-somethings went to Europa only to have the WORST service ever!! We were never asked what we would have liked to drink, only handed water rudely. Our order was NEVER taken. We walked out after 20 minutes of JUST SITTING!!
Our argument is that we probably would have spent over 200 dollars easily, but as we "looked" like college students (we are all out of school and have well-paying professional careers!), we were treated with rudeness and as if we were only there to eat cheaply.
I was truly dissapointed, as I have heard nothing but good things. I will NEVER go back!
Absolutely an experience: I love the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. Everybody remembers us and always makes us feel like part of a family. The chef comes out to talk with you and thank you. Definitely worth it!

Taking it personally will make sure you have one less excellent restaurant to visit in an area of few top notch places. I eat out every meal and try out a place at least twice before I make a decision that is final. The owners cannot perfect their service unless the customer POLITELY says something. I was there last night and my husband became ill, because of diabetes. The whole staff was running arround and catered to our every whim. Please give this fine establishment another chance.....P.S. I never expect my money to be the reason people serve me, even though I have plenty. When you have a large party, you should make plans and preview the restaurant and make sure things are in order. That is the only way you can honor your guests.....with thought and care. I have 6 college and university adult children and know your delima. You are right that people do not take your age seriously. I being a woman in a man's world of business encounter that still at 50. I look at it as an opportunity to educate the less fortunate than I in a better way. My favorite restaurant is a start up with no prior experience. I return their, because the young folks are "going for it", with a great attitude. Daily they put me last and mess up on my order. Their youth and eagerness to move forward in life despite adversity is worth of my patronage. Please focus on growing, healing and creative endeavors or you will live a self fulfilling view of life, based on anger and disappointment. Hold your head high for your accomplishments and help others reach as high as you. Go in on an off time and have a quiet chat with the owner or manager and explain how you feel and tell them you would like to try them again. Consideration of their point of view, might get you something special and more friends.
