| About: | Located 1 block East of Pacific Lutheran University, in the heart of Parkland Washington is a quaint Cajun Cuisine restaurant called From The Bayou. Laden with old world tile floors and antique artifacts, the restaurant invokes memories of a visit to Cajun country. Old style wooden booths, slowly turning fans and low lighting complete the feeling. Zydeco music playing in the background or live Cajun bands complement fantastic B&W photos set in Louisiana and the Acadian villages taken by Baton Rouge photographer Betsy Guglielmo. The front room offers a snug alcove with sofas; checkerboards and a bowl of peanuts while you sip lavender lemonade and wait for a table. This little nook has also been voted one of the best places to kiss in the Northwest. The ambiance of this restaurant is also created by the incredible collections of Southern Louisiana artifacts that have made their way from the Deep South to the walls of From The Bayou.
