| About: | Located 1 block East of Pacific Lutheran University, in the heart of Parkland Washington is a quaint Cajun Cuisine restaurant called From The Bayou. Laden with old world tile floors and antique artifacts, the restaurant invokes memories of a visit to Cajun country. Old style wooden booths, slowly turning fans and low lighting complete the feeling. Zydeco music playing in the background or live Cajun bands complement fantastic B&W photos set in Louisiana and the Acadian villages taken by Baton Rouge photographer Betsy Guglielmo. The front room offers a snug alcove with sofas; checkerboards and a bowl of peanuts while you sip lavender lemonade and wait for a table. This little nook has also been voted one of the best places to kiss in the Northwest. The ambiance of this restaurant is also created by the incredible collections of Southern Louisiana artifacts that have made their way from the Deep South to the walls of From The Bayou. Make sure to check out the Cross Wall on your way in. |

From the Bayou is my favorite restaurant. The customer service, atmosphere and food are unmatched by any restaurant in the Tacoma Area. When anyone asks me for a great place to eat for a special occassion I always send them to From the Bayou.
Yummy!: My friends and I decided to hit garfield street for some food and this weekend we chose The Bayou. I love cajuin food and atmosphere and this place has it all. The cajiun food, the spices and recipes were just right in everything I had. The cleanliness and service were good and the food was great. so any one in the Parkland area should stop and try this place it is authentic and awsome and I loved it.
Awesome Ali-Gator: This place has exellent food and service. Really romantic setting. You can sit inside or out on the back patio. It was in The Best Places to Kiss in the Northwest-- But I still haven't been kissed there.
