I traveled from Phoenix to visit my Mom & Sisters. We went to Lakewood Pub specifically to sing Karaoke, eat & drink. There were 9 of us and we spent a lot. We got there at 8pm, put in a few songs and waited for over an hour to sing our first song. The lady DJ had a table of friends there and after 12 of them got to sing (they got there much later then we did), we then got a song in. After 4 hours and many drinks later (money for the owner of the pub), we got to sing 2 songs each. When I brought it to her (DJ) attention, she defended the rotation but would not address the issue of front loading all her friends. Took the fun out of being there completely. Not how a club should allow entertainment to be run. Bad experience! The waitress was GREAT though.
Upscale pub food, and restaurant fare, but minors NOT admitted.
Usually inhabited by a broad sampling of usually well behaved clients.
Thursdays, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (bar time) happy hours have $1.00
domestic drafts, and peperoni or Hawiian pizza slices @ $1.00 too.
Owners also have other drinking establishment interests, i.e. Haven,
Black Star. Keeping some of the prior Rudy's crew means you're dealing with real pros.
Kind of a worn, threadbare place with lots of small-screen TVs. Service was OK, food was good, but experience was ruined by loud, profane drunks at the bar (at 1:30 in the afternoon). Not a family-friendly place, but obviously a local hangout.
