I read the reviews of this rest. before going....Some said food was bland...they were right...I had the chicken burrito...It had no flavor at all...I asked for some hot sauce to go with it and that helped but you shouldn't have to cover with hot sauce for food to be tolerable. Price was 8.95 the burrito had rice beans and chicken in it....would not recomend to friends
We went to Peppers yesterday around 5pm. Slow shabby chic . Bad service Bad Food!
I had a refried bean, rice and some chocolaty chicken. $1495 and Peppers coffee drink
Hubby had some spinich whatevers with beans and rice on each side. It was in a sauce of sour cream. He had a Banana drink of sorts.
Bill $40 -----No Tip Given--- And i always give at least double the tax in tips!
No taste in the washed out rice.. chocolate sauce was bland , tasted the spinich stuffed pancake like things in sour cream sauce and it was unpalitable.
His drink was sweeter then sweet and unmixed. Ok my Peppers coffee drink was very good.
Place was decorated bland. Reminded me of a hot day in Mexico. I wanted Fiesta and good food. Never again.
The service was bad enough that not one Cent in a tip was given! Not one! Didn't take any food to dogs...and that is unbelievable. Did i say it was horrid? I ment it.
Overall a pretty good place to have mexican food. As one reviewer noted, not that authentic, but the food is tasty and well prepared and portions are more than satisfying. The menu is typical americanized mexican faire, but differs from other restaurants in that the food tastes very fresh.
Bottom line, enjoyed the food and have gone back a few times. But more authentic latin food can be found down the street at El Guanaco.
