One of the first places I had breakfast when I moved here from the south.......The food was good and cooked just the way I requested....lol...the only thing I wished they had was grits! LOL...I eat there often....

I consider it the upscaled Denny's of Yelm.: There are few restaurants that we've visited over the past 17 years that have never once slipped up a bit or wavered in quality. Every restaurant seems to have its days where things go wrong. Sometimes the soup or fries might be tap-warm, or the pop might have too much syrup. Sometimes the waiting staff might be over-wrought with tables (slammed). We've lived in Germany and in 6 states in the US, and we've been let down once or twice by almost every restaurant we've ever frequented.

But not Mr. Doug's! Not once, not ever.

Leave it to the huge, sprawling metropolis of Yelm, Washington to provide us with one of the few axes on which the eternal dimensions collide to give us a place to eat that makes the same, home-cooked meals, every time, the same way.

Excellent place to eat or coffee and visit: Great food, great staff, family owned and operated.
