    The beef in my wife's fajitas had wonderful flavor but was of very poor quality. Chew and chew and chew - or just spit it out. Waitress just told us, "Yeah, I prefer the chicken," and did nothing to remedy the situation. My carnitas were okay but had little flavor and no sauce; just the standard chunks of pork with rice and beans. This is too bad because we have eaten here before over the years with better results. Now it seems they're trying to save money in this poor economy. Don't waste your time at Las Mesitas.

    Head 5 or 6 blocks east on Main to El Rancho Viejo. If you order chicken, be sure to ask for, "pollo muerto." It's always good for a laugh.

    This place has the BEST salsa! I absolutly love it....they also have speedy service, and their food is very well priced.
