User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWonderful place to get the meat you desire. I had given up on regular bacon and was eating turkey bacon, but that was before I had their bacon... tastes just like it did when I was younger and my parents got it from a hometown butcher. IT IS FAB!
The ground beef is ground nicely and it breaks up very well if you want to make tacos.
The roasts are very tasty and their rope polish sausage is great!
The stew meat was great.
I have a whole fryer left and that will be eaten tomorrow, looking forward to it!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWONDERFUL sirloin steaks, petite sirloin steaks, pork steaks, pork roasts, beef roasts, HOT italian sausage, and HUGE containers of horseradish! This HAS to be where the steak houses get the goods - holy cow (ha ha) - the BEST flavor and marbling - YUM! (and I haven't even tried the "pricey" cuts yet!) The service is top-notch, and they'll cut and wrap things anyway you want - with a smile and speed. Buy a bag, and save big! Once you buy from Sonnenberg's, you'll wonder what took you so long to go -
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery 'old school' which keeps in good company and good quality. The package items and prices are excellent. The meat is superb and the staff are great to the customers. They work hard and give a premo product to the public. A must try, even if it is just to see the store. Very East coast fell (i.e. like brooklyn deli/meat markets) And I grew up in Philly so I was surrounded by 'em. A high recommend for all who like food and people.
