    Went for Dinner last night. Was recommended by a co-worker. It was good but it didnt knock my socks off.
    The service average at best. When I didnt have a reservation the female manager (wine buyer?) said "put him in the bar" even though the restaurant was empty and continued to be empty for the hour and 10 minutes I was was there. The Greek salad saved the day!!! It was quite possibly the best greek salad I have had anywhere! The Trio of Meats was good... but the Lamb was NOT my favorite. The Salad saved the day or this would have been a solid 3 star experience.

    Very good food, an OUTSTANDING wine list and a first rate, very engaging general manager! This is one of those restaurants that you find a memorable experience! Easy to visit if you are staying in one of the downtown Spokane hotels.

    I'll always love Mediterranean food: Always loved Niko's in the Spokane Valley; sorry it isn't there any more. But if I'm coming downtown to a concert, show, or shopping, I can't wait to enjoy the food at Niko's, too. The kabsa (a dish with chicken, rice, onions, tomatoes, and delicious spices) is excellent. The dolmathes are not too vinegary and the hummus and pita bread are savory. Deserts are very tasty with the choklava being one of my favorites. And if you want a truly authentic experience, try a cup of their special coffee!
