User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTop Notch is wonderful! We drive there from Pullman (and every time we go through Colfax) just for the burgers and old fashioned milkshakes. This is one of the few places left in the world where they make the milkshakes/malts by hand (chocolate milkshakes with CHOCOLATE ice cream, not vanilla with chocolate syrup) and give you the old fashioned glass with the metal container! My favorite!!! They'll make their burgers EXACTLY how you want them, and they have great fries and onion rings. I haven't tried much else but I recommend the burgers and shakes over anywhere else in Moscow/Pullman/Colfax region.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOld-fashion dinner: Though it's a small stop with not much room inside, The Top Notch is a great place to eat if your passing through town. A family run business with the help of local high school students to serve tables, they have an unexpected level of quality service and do their best to make you feel like one of the family. Brenda is always there behind the soda counter to greet guests with a smile while Jim and Dave work their magic on the grill.
With barely more time than it would take to get your favorite value meal at the fast food joint, the food is high quality with a great taste.
There may be a small wait if you hit the lunch or dinner hours due to limited seating(outside seating available in the warmer months) but its definitely worth it so stop by early and get your seat before the rush.
