Goodtymes Bar & Grill

I agree! The goatie Dj is awesome, but the girl dj (I think it's Dj Danny) is much hotter. We were there on Friday, and we had a blast. The band was cool, even though they played a Kelly Clarkson song), and the dj (goatie chubby guy, Dj Camille or something) in between kept us on the dance floor. The security guys are not assholes like at other bars. And they know how to celebrate someone's birthday there-we saw a girl on the stage and she was raised on this platform so guys could dance with her-friggin' awesome!

Goodtymes is actually a really cool place. There's no cover, it's not dark and dramatic like many clubs, and the atmosphere is not pretentious, as I've found with a lot of downtown clubs (Marquee, Emperor, etc.). I've seen fights there, but not any more than at other bars. At any bar, it's usually the same people who cause trouble-adult men who dress in "gangsta" style clothing who have nothing better to do than to talk in urban accents (even though they live in the Pacific Northwest) and walk around thinking they are tough. These are grown men wearing their pants low, hats to the side, and gold chain like they are some kind of bad ass. These guys are in their 20's and 30's, yet they act and dress like a high school kid. Anyhow, the prices at Goodtymes are ok, and the service isn't too bad (the hot bartenders and waitresses make the wait ok). The band is pretty good, but it's better when the DJ's are there. They are all good, but the DJ with goatee (DJ Kaliel or something) rocks. He knows how to get people dancing. And the girl DJ is pretty damn hot. I've been going out for years, and I always end up at Goodtymes because of those things.

Absolutely Sucks!!! The reason they have no cover charge is a come on to get you there. Maybe they should charge in order to get better gigs. The parking lot was a knock down drag out fight. There was not enough bar tender service and I just felt uneasy and unsafe. We went there one more time and the cops were there again. This time there were people up on top of cars. Entirely young clients and I am just not in the mood for a rave. Doesn't the management give a damn about this place? It used to be a good place to go but now it is getting a name. They cannot smoke inside so I saw them sneaking bottles or drinks out to smoke and drink in the parking lot. The yelling was a little juvenile.
I think someone should look into this place.
