Best Thai food I've had anywhere, and I've lived in San Francisco, New York, and Philadelphia. The owners have day jobs elsewhere and operate this restaurant as a hobby, so be polite and don't always expect great service from the owner John, who serves while his wife cooks.

Don't let the decor of the place fool you. The owners provide authentic Thai food with a little Northwest style of their own. The prices are fair and the servings are generous. Join the locals as they and a select few are the only ones who are aware of this hidden jewel of a restaurant.

PROS: B+ food. pretty pictures on the walls.

CONS: manipulative owner (JOHN) who tries to directyou to entrees that cost more, which comes off sounding like a used car salesman selling food. He acts like you NEVER had real Thai food before (plenty of "authentic" Thai food where I come from!). Stubborn about taking special requests that wouldn't hurt their profits (ex. they would not do one dish with "no eggs, no peanuts, carrots instead please). Slow cook time, dirty paper towel roll in the bathroom.

This is a hateful review from someone who values their own opinion too highly. If you are going to eat in a small town restaurant, leave your haughty values at the door and enjoy an authentic experience from one of the few native born Thai cooks that you will ever run into in Washington state. Their food is the closest to imitating the flair that I experienced in my five months of travel in Thailand and deserves recognition.

Please note that the dissatisfaction I expressed addressed the way I was treated. The way I was treated highly impressed my eating experience there. To have lived eating this kind of food all my life and to be treated as if my needs and desires as the customer was not important disgusted me. Your 5 months have nothing on that. This review had nothing to do with having haughty problems with "small towns." Also-- never did I once state that their food was awful. To their credit, it was palatable. I would go back for the food if they changed their attitude.

I have been going to Bangkok 103 since I was a toddler. For a while there, my family went one to three times a week. The owners were great to us. Yeah, they can be in bad moods sometimes, but that just adds to the hominess of the place -- they're human, they don't pretend to be otherwise.
