My girlfriend and I dined here recently and I have to say that this is the best Italian restaurant in Anchorage. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and charming. The lighting is perfect. not too dark not too bright (too bright seems to be the common theme for restaurants here in Alaska blaaah!! Our server was very friendly and made us feel warm and welcome. The food... oh my the food.... Simply delicious! I have been to Romanos and Sorrentos and hands down this place blows both of those places out of the water no question! Ninos is the only other place that I would consider decent Italian. Try this place , you will not be sorry.
Absolutely EXQUISITE! My husband and I are always looking for that "diamond in the rough" special restaurant, and this is it! Do not be fooled by the outside appearance, it is lovely inside, the food is absolutely delicious and our waiter never made us feel rushed (never pestering us to take plates or unwarranted hovering, and didn't drop the tab on the table as we were still eating; instead waiting until we asked - I don't recall EVER enjoying a meal at a restaurant where I didn't feel I was rushed, then shoved out the door).
Delicious! Ate here for a birthday dinner just a while ago. The cheesy garlic bread was delcious (make sure to get a side of marinara sauce) and very garlicky. Calamari was tender and not rubbery. Garlic dip wasn't very garlicky, but nontheless good.
For my entree I ordered the seafood crepes. Wonderful and rich...very rich. The side of potatoes and creamed spinach were also delcious. Everyone else I was dining with greatly enjoyed their meals as well.
