There are only a few ways you are going to be asked to leave from Koots, Gary. They include you being inhibriated, rude or vulgar to staff or if you are man handling people. Koots is packed with people who aren't asked to leave, so I guess the question is; What led them to ask you to leave there fella?
There are two issues here.
The first one I'd like to address is the rather discusting back bar with all the filthy, smelly used mens underwear, panties and bras (and assorted other discusting items) hanging all over the place. How does this get by the health department anyway?
The second bad experience I had is that I stopped in one day to have a drink (sober - I might add) and I had a very unpleasant experience with the bar tender and the the manager. When I asked to speak with a manager concerning the incident she was very rude to me and told me to leave.
And as for the food, well it was below average at best. Unless of course you consider McDonald's as a gourmet dining experience.
That happend to me in April of 07 and I have not gone back and have not recommended it to anyone since then. No stars or recommendations here.
the bouncers at chilkoots are rough to say the least they tend to think they are gods of some sort.they have no problem getting physical in fact they seem to enjoy.my advise to any one going there is say good bye to the people you love you may not get another chance.

If you've never been to the original Birdhouse, then don't bother trying to slam the "Birdhouse Bar" in Koots. You obiously don't get it. Not describing the incident with the bartender is the same as "Here's my story so I'm right". Nonetheless, they have the right to refuse service to anyone. You do not have the "right" to see a manager. It's their house, not yours. As for Sal's food, if you wanted a gourmet experience, go to the Double Musky. The food is perfectly fine considering the generous pizza slices are a buck until 10pm. You get what you pay for. I've been frequenting Chilkoot Charlies off and on for well over 12 years. I've never had a problem with the staff, never been asked to leave, and actually feel like they look out for you. For a period of time, I lived right up the street and one of the staff was nice enough to pour me onto my front door one evening when I had one too many. It sounds to me like you probably got the idea to get beligerant in the wrong bar and would be better off at Platinum Jaxx or some other preppy club.
It's "Disgusting" by the way. When you are writing any type of review (especially a negative one) make sure you know how to spell. It will add an air of (oh I don't know) viability to what you write.
