| About: | Award-winning Thai Kitchen was the first Thai restaurant in Anchorage, and its appeal is apparent by the restaurant's popularity. Eclectic and almost Spartan, the dining room has small tables and few frills. The huge Thai Platter provides a great way to try a mix of appetizers. Try the outstanding garlic chicken has many toasted bits of garlic topping the dish. Note: While the food and price is sure to please, the service is typically disorganized. User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDon't like Chinese go to thai: It is a small family run restaurant. It has great meals at a descent price for an appitizer, dinner, and drink it is about 15 buck. I recommend the yellow curry with potatos and the thai spring rolls and my daughters loved the ketchup chicken ( I know sounds yucky). Also it has a lunch bar the dish you up, three choices, for $8. Better meal, healthier than fast food, and quick.

Horrible service, food: At around $9 per plate, one dish we ordered was Top Ramen noodles with some Cilantro. The service was nonexistent, excluding the vulture-like bus-boy. Normally, you go out to eat for good food, and a good atmosphere. If I wanted Top Ramen, I would have stayed home. And I wouldn't have to pay $9 for it.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood & cheap Thai food: The food is good and the prices are extremely reasonable. Ambiance is very poor though - it's basically just one big room with tables and chairs. Service can be kind of slow. Ideal for take-out.
