Plan On Getting A To Go: I have lived in Kenai for over ten years and have never had bad plate of food ever! There is always more than you can eat. Sometimes it is pretty packed and hard to get a seat. Enjoy you dinning in Kenai.

The best breakfast you'll ever find ANYWHERE!: Upon moving to Kenai, my brother told me I had to try this place that he has breakfast at regularly. When I first walked in, I wasn't impressed with the decor. It has a hunting lodge feel at first, but it definately grew on me the longer I was there. The atmosphere is pure Alaska, in the way that only an Alaskan could do it.

The breakfast food is INCREDIBLE, and the portions are gigantic. People say that "everything's bigger in Texas," but Texas doesn't have a THING on Louie's. I ordered the King Louie Breakfast. The menu claims it includes a country sausage patty. It doesn't. It features a big ol' SLAB-O-PIG!!! I'd reccommend that they rename it on the menu, but it doesn't have the same appeal. The sausage gravy is thick, perfectly seasoned, and served amply over one of the largest biscuits I've ever had. The eggs were great, the hashbrowns were great. Everything was fantastic. The only thing was in the least worrysome was that my pants seemed to tight when I left. If you're a fan of breakfast food...eggs, sausage, etc, I'd highly reccomend the King Louie. It might be a coronary on a plate, but you'll die with a smile!

I know that this review has been very tounge-in-cheek, but I honestly can't ever remember a breakfast this good (sorry, grandma). I can't reccommend it highly enough if you're on the peninsula and looking for a great breakfast.

I've never eaten lunch or dinner there, but I certainly plan to. If the breakfast is anything to judge by, it may be the best meal of my life.

Best Restaurant in Kenai (or Soldotna)!: After a day on the water we were anxious to find a good restaurant in the area. Our guide suggested Louie's and we found it to be not only worth the drive from the fishing lodge on the Kenai in Soldotna but the BEST restaurant far and away we found in Soldotna or Kenai.
Though I'm not much for trophies (animal heads decor throughout the room), it was absolutely some of the best food we had on our trip. The seafood was excellent and the service was just as good. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for food if you are in the this area. Excellent variety and well worth the price. Absolutely will go back!
