The NEW Channel Club is great! The old place was ok but the new building is beautiful and the service is much better. The new phone number is 907-747-7440. If you call they will come and pick you up and drop you off anywhere in town after you are done eating. We went twice on our visit to Sitka and it was great both times. The pork chop was wonderful, about 3" thick, lightly smoked before grilling, fork tender. They also have an amazing Rib Steak, it was huge, ended up having a second meal from it the next day. It was nice to find a salad bar too, nice and fresh with two soup choices. They have a full bar and make a mean martini. We ate in several other places while we were in Sitka, this was hands down the best food and service.

Juiciest steaks I have ever had, from anywhere: This little restaurant begins with a salad bar containing an eclectic mix of salads, interesting combinations but quite tasty, however, the highlight is the steak and seafood. Steaks are cooked on a fire grill directly next to the salad bar in the dining room so you can watch the cooks fire them up and make them the juiciest steak I have ever had (I even order well done and they are perfectly juicy). I do wish I knew their secret. Seafood is done very well there, especially the steak and halibut combination. A bit on the pricey side but VERY much worth every penny. An eatery in southeast Alaska not to be missed.
