Went there for Mother's day and it was so packed. My overall experience...I did not enjoy it. The wait was long and our food did not taste good. Our spicy shrimp and squid was cook too long in old oil. Not only that but by the time we had our food, which was a good 40 minutes wait, the food was cold and stale. I always hear that this place was good but after this experience I don't think I will return.
Its mapo tofu...the best in the world: Its been 10 years since i left Minneapolis when I used to have dinner at Shuang Cheng. Been looking for comparable Mapo Tofu anywhere in the world...nothing beats Shuang Cheng's
Not all deep fried, and a good location: Bathrooms are shared with other tenants of building, but were very clean and shiny.
Food is traditional chinese food, nothing to exceptional as far as I ate. Beef lo mein and shrimp egg foo young were my orders. Both were good, decent portions. They are advertised as a good seafood chinese place, so I'll probably go back and do a seafood review someday for ya'll.
There's a place above the restaurant for kids to hang out and study. Kinda cool I thought.
