| About: | Mayslack's has been a Minneapolis favorite since times immemorial. It has been the one stop pub for live music and is more like an after-work haunt in the area. A good mix of young and old regulars can be found here, upholding and continuing with their traditional hang-out. Yet, as the years have gone by, doubts have started to creep in even amongst locals about the quality of service. Yet, efforts to provide the best possible service to resurrect itself to its past glory are well underway. |

Im looking forward to re-visiting in September (2009) when I revisit the Twin Cities. I haven't been there since about 1970 when I and some co-workers used to go there for lunch. I remember Stan Mayslack standing there and carving up the big roasts and piling it on a bun, dipping the top of the bun into the juice and handing it to us.
Great memories .... but then I'm sure that things are not quite the same as nothing is anymore. Its too bad
Comfortable, Great Service: Went to Mayslack's on Friday night to hear The Root City Band. Found a seat, enjoyed the music, comfortable setting, excellent service. The wait staff was very attentive. I'll for sure be going back to try the meat and enjoy more music.
Another Northeast Gem: Great place to have a beer and listen to good local music. They have great food and drink specials. lots of free parking little to no cover charge. Awesome!
