| About: | Opened in 1982 in downtown Minneapolis, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is now home to the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. The facility has also played host to the World Series, the Superbowl and the NCAA college basketball championships. The inflated stadium roof has caused some unusual moments in sporting history, including tears from heavy snow and high winds during football season, and a couple of wild ricochets off the ceiling during baseball games. |

People just say those things really not that bad I appriciate going to baseball games at the Metrodome it is fun! People just expect to much.
It's never a good idea to combine a baseball and football stadium. I've never seen a successful one, and the metrodome is no different. It has a few saving graces, but this is not how baseball stadiums are built. First of, this is a concrete behemoth with central air that blows you out the door as you leave. The whole place is depressingly concrete and the stadium is huge. Upper deck seats are not very good, but lower deck is not bad, because the seats are elevated and don't go too far back, so you stay pretty close. Another annoying thing is the artificial turf, which makes any stadium look extra ugly. Finally, the biggest saving grace is the crowd. It gets really loud because its like a concrete cave, and the seats go just about all the way around which makes for some long waves.
