| About: | "If you are looking for a casual place to eat . . . one that serves fresh, home-cooked food with a modern sensibility, add Kafe 421 to your list. Noticeably more subdued and less expensive than most other restaurants with food standards this high, 421 has something for everyone. [Owner Georgia Sander] keeps the "world pantry" combination of ingredients flowing along smoothly, focusing on Latin or Mediterranean flavors. For those on a budget, the sandwich list is creative and extensive . . . Keeping everyone happy seems to be Kafe 421's forte." Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, November |

Many of my friends like it. Nice place to hang out and catch up with some old friends. However, I don't go there often, simply because the the food isn't that outstanding. The food itself is not bad, but yet, not good enough to keep bringing me back.
Not too shabby: This is a regular spot for me to dine with friends after work or classes at the U of MN. The atmosphere is friendly. Sometimes service can be slow, but they have some great dishes. I love their tomato basil soup and their caprese salad. They serve mostly Greek and American food or a mixture of the two. They have a good selection of sandwiches and even some vegetarian options. I miss their pasta salad, but they are still one of my favorite spots in Dinkytown. Nifty little cafe that caters to both the casual and well-dressed customer.
Wonderful Food: Located in the University of Minnesota's Dinky Town....
Good food, greek and american with a greek twist. Nice little cafe, you can feel comfortable in either dressed up or casual....
