Famous Dave's

I had a 50th birthday surpise party for my husband at Dave's BBQ and Blues and it couldn't have been a better idea. I e-mailed them to make the reservation for 28 people. Marrisa returned my e-mail. She told me that she would be the manager on duty that night and wanted to work with me on the party. She was wonderful, making suggestions and telling me about services they offer such as allowing me to bring in my own home-made cake and they would serve it with sparklers. She seated me where I wanted to sit, and she took a time table as to when to serve appetizers and when to bring the cake out. She told me about a party special on chicken wings, and also gave me 4.00 well drinks and domestic beers for the guests, and our waiter who was awsome, told everyone about the special when they ordered their first drink. I told them I wanted to pay for my guests first drink, and they took care of that too. So when I came in, I didn't have to worry about anything. Marrisa came over and introduced herself and told me if I needed anything she would be there for me. I would recommend you schedule a party at Dave's, especially when Marrisa is on duty. Oh, and the icing to the cake, Hamilton Loomis put on a spectacular show at 9:00 and played Happy Birthday song on the guitar, Hendrix style, on our table!

Famous Dave's is OK but it is a franchise. Isn't the whole point to BBQ to find something that is unique.

This place is unbelievable. Wow. Nightly blues music and great food. I was there on a Sunday night at 11 o'clock and it was still awesome. The music was great, but what blew me away was what was displayed on the wall. All around the place were signed guitars from Clapton, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, and STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN. It was awesome.
