Company Information: The Saloon is the Twin Cities' main Boy Bar. From the Tank to the Chicken Coop to the Stand and Model boys, this is where the gay action is. Leather is a necessity to enter the Tank. The dress code requires two pieces of leather or strip to the waist. Thursdays is under-21 night and the dance bar becomes affectionately known as the Chicken Coop. Tuesdays feature karaoke and Sundays are 1980s retro. Every night bondage and SM videos play on the TVs. On weekends the club becomes the hottest dance party in town, straight or gay. The music is loud, the patrons rock until 3am and the place is packed wall to wall. If the floor is too crowded, try pool, pinball, darts or video games. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and deep fried appetizers highlight the limited menu. The saloon has an excellent beer list, both domestic and imported.

    That 70s place: I was at this bar the night it opened in March 1977. I was 25 then. I partied at this bar every Friday and Saturday night until I moved to North Carolina in 1982. Donna Summer, The Village People, Andrea True Connection were the beat we danced to. Whenever I think of the Seventies I think of the Saloon. I have a lot of great memories of this place. I'm glad to see it's still doing great business.

    Nice place to be: Saloon is a great place to be on the weekens. Also don't forget Tuesday night Karaoke.
