Love it, especially on friday and saturday nights, for there late night set.
To have a restaurant of this stature within the twin cities is truly a blessing. The food is beyond expectations. Forget about this being just another jazz bistro with food as an after thought. The Dakota is "World Class!" Mixing imaginative and creative epicurean food delights along with a first rate jazz venue, Together, it goes beyond any jazz purists wildest imagination. Putting great food and great music together lends the Dakota one of the greatest atmosphere's to be found anywhere. I've been to most every jazz bistro between the US and Europe. It just doesn't get any better than this for best appreciation of food and music in the United States. Yes, New York and LA have wider arrays of indigenous talent to choose from ..... but none have the mind set or the where with all that the owners of the Dakota have come to present. Anyone thinks that Chicago has anything on Minneapolis..... forget-about-it. Chicago hasn't any jazz club that consistently has major names in a professional setting that offers the ambiance of the Dakota.
romantic spot: This is my fav place to go to to here good music like big bands and jazz and has a great romantic feeling and hey u might just go home and make a kid like I did lol
