I was out at Nalapak today with a bunch of colleagues for their lunch buffet. Even when the restaurant barely had anyone, the service and the availability of food was way below our expectation. They just had one snack, Aloo Bonda, which ran out within no time. The same was the case with Bisibele Bath. Masala Dosa was served at the table and was charged if one were to have more than 1 Dosa!! Their Dessert for the day was Gulab Jamun which was not at all soft. Overall, the experience of each of us was very disappointing with some of us swearing never to return. If 18% is charged for larger groups by default, the service better be good.
We made reservations at Nalapak on Valentineâs Day and quite possibly experienced the worst service of our life. When we initially arrived we informed the host that we had reservations and the host didnât seem to care. He placed us in a side room with one huge party and us. It was very awkward and strange. Nobody came to our table so I had to walk to find someone to inform them we did not want to sit in this side room. With no apology, they begrudgingly seated us in the very corner of the main room. Thirty seconds after sitting down a person who appeared to be a busser came to take our order. We said we were not ready but would like to order an appetizer and tea. He barely spoke or understood English but he did take our order for an appetizer and tea. This was around 6:50. We waited and waited and tried to track someone else down but nobody came back to our table until after 7:30! Once this same busser came back to our table we asked where our tea and appetizer were and he said we never ordered them. At this point we became so infuriated that we walked out. It would have really ruined our Valentineâs Day but luckily we had a wonderful meal at another Indian restaurantâ¦.Rajaâs Mahal. In summary, Nalapak was one of the worst dining experiences of my memory.
The food & service was very good. A good place to have veg food.
