Honestly, you can't find a cheaper rent anyware else in town for a 3 bedroom 2 bath place with your own garage, $790. However, management is bad and it's not a very good neighborhood. The unit itself isn't the best but it's livable. If the unit doesn't past the city inspection (fire hazard, bad fire alarm, etc) the tenant ends up paying the fine, not the landlord. If stove, fridge, sink, etc breaks...the tenant pays to replace it. All the units are infested with ants. Most people end up moving out of there after a year. Not many people stay longer than that, truthfully.

Ok 1st I would like to start by saying sorry to all who have had a bad experience with Rice Creek, For the ones who have never stayed there the units them self have alot of potential, you have to make them what you want them to be and keep up on your unit. As for the people who live there...lets be adults about this, if you have an issue about management, maintenance, your neighbor, or your neighborhood do something about it! I have to admit the posting that ricecreek12 made is a bunch of BS.....If you have a problem with Ann and her bunch report it to someone, she doesn't own the property and can be replaced, as long as nothing is said about it nothing will happen (maybe the owner doesn't know about what all is going on) come together as a community to get results. If the management is that bad start a petition and summit it to the owner, as for the maintenance there is no way you should be going months waiting for a work order to be completed you have rights as a tenant...instead of calling the office go online to homelinemn.org, go to form letters, then print out and sumit a repair request...that gives the office 14 days (not 3 months) to repair what is needed, from there you can get the courts involed. (think about it no company wants this) you should not have to do this to get your stuff fixed but hey if it works do what you have to do! If you have any questions about your rights either go to homelinemn.org or call them @ 612-728-5767or 866-866-3546 someone will have an answer for you, another thing stop talking about your neighbors and go and talk to your neighbors, you will be surpised on the outcome, If they are just unapproachable and breaking the law and/or making you and your childrens environment unsafe follow the proper steps that are needed. (talk to management or call the police) My point is it was a choice you made to live here so make a choice to either stand up for your household, neighborhood, and your rights or just sit and gossip about it.....It really is your choice!!!

Good Lord - if you dont believe the reviews (as I am a show me person). so I called and the young lady answering the phones was unfortunately 'typical', you know the sort annoyed that you called her at work and as helpful as a hammer to te forehead. Sounded as though she was chewing gum, someone missed professioanlism 101? which is obviously not a pre-req for answering their business line nor a thought for managements first impression; face/voice of the rental community or environment that they are attempting to built. Not willing to leave well enough alone, I sent my significant and child by for a 'curb-appeal' with no knowledge of the conversation nor these reviews & while she isnt police nor trained, but her comfort is #1 and we have lived in Chicago, Denver, San Diego, New Jersy & let's just say that if it quacks, I'm calling it a duck. Aimless rough & tough looking, no regard for children around for adult conversation and adult endulgence's. Obvioulsy badly managed and no standards for behavior and therefore overall safety & thus no feeling of community or neighborly co-existence. Worst of luck to a poorly managed structurless, standardless management company that doesnt get that affordable doesnt have to equal slum or slum mentality, plenty of hard working, pleasant families, single mother's, retiree's need decent dwellings with decent neighbors - DO NOT LOOK FOR IT HERE!
