Vis Pizza

We, as a family, have 7 children and used to live a few miles fom VI"S, every saturday evening we have all the kids circle the table and puchase 4 of the largest pizza's of different flavors...never once was one of my children late to this meal or was there one single piece left over(even though I would love it for breakfast the next morning). This family run pizza place has just had it's 50 year celebration, and when you do this right and cook with the ingredients they use, along with the love and dedication to the recipe that they have, they deserve the rants and raves of all that I know. I now have many of my children that go to Vi's many times and hear of the fantastic food,and good times they share, not only with eachother, but with the many folks in the area as a social gathering place. ( I only wish one of my kids would marry into the wonderful family that runs VI"S, because I want the recipe in a selfish way ) One of my sons has been trying to get then to put the pizza into a jar so he can travel the world and get it into the supermarkets for the whole world to enjoy....he always had lofty goals. Do not drive by this place without stopping in.

We ordered a pizza and spaghetti from the take-out area at the rear entrance. I got a sausage and extra cheese pizza. Service was quick and courteous. The pizza was very good, with lots of extra cheese. The cheese, sauce and crust were all very good. Chunks of sausage were large, and the sausage meat was fresh and top-quality, but I was disappointed that the sausage was very bland--hardly any seasonings.

The spaghetti was very good, with a mild, sweet sauce.

Though the sausage was bland, we liked everything else about Vi's and would definitely return.

I absolutely love vi's!!! The Pizza is to die for! They hand make their sausage and their pizza sauce!!! the building is full of culture, and the service is really friendly!! I would drive to go to this place any day!!
