This place has not been the same since the owners divorced.
It's absolutely apparent who had the business skills in that relationship.I wish the wife would come back, she was deifinitely the one that made this place run smoothly. You could tell that she put alot of effort and pride into her business and menu.
I miss the Viking Wings.
Several friends and I were setting up deer stands at one of our friend's properties near by. We drove by this place and decided to stop in for food and a couple beers. The place had 10 people, looked like locals. We blended in with our clothes and looks. Took about 35 minutes to get our food. It was ok. We had to walk to the bar to order beer every time even though there was plenty of staff. Bartender was blowing us off. Served people who walked up AFTER I was waiting and they got served first. Jerk! Asked for a specific pull tab. Bartender pulled the wrong ones. I looked at him puzzled. He intentionally did that. The service sucks big time. We were very polite the entire time. Tipped EXCEPTIONALLY WELL our first drink orders to make sure we were taken care of, even though the jerk took forever. I seriously don't know why this place encourages losers as employees. Maybe he is the owner? I would NOT recommend going there if you are from out of town. You are NOT welcomed in their bar.
A semi-busy weekend proved to be a little to much for this place. Food ate well, but the service was terrible. Waited for a long time for food to arrive, and felt snubbed by the bar tender. He knew the locals and since we weren’t regulars our service was horrible. What a shame; this place probably heavily relies on out of town business but I have no intentions of returning.
