On April 4th we had dinner at Bellisio's to celebrate our granddaughter's 21st birthday. We appreciated the lovely yet comfortable atmosphere and the food was excellent - priced very fairly for the quality and service. I'm sorry I don't remember our waitresses name (according to my receipt she is server #96!) but she took very good care of us and even brought a birthday dessert to share - how nice!
The food at Bellisio's is fantastic. I recommend any of their chicken dishes, and their rigatoni. When I was pregnant with my son, I did some serious damage at this place! Oh, and dont forget the Creme Brulee for desert. I try hard to tell myself..."Just walk away...walk away from the Brulee...but then I buckle and order it anyway"...but at least I try to share it now! Dont bother with Olive Garden...try Bellisio's...its great!!!
We have been to Belisios so many times it is hard to count. We live a little south of the cities and have a cabin on the north shore and always stop at Belisios, as well as, the Pickwick everytime we make the trip up. Belisios is constantly the best restaurant in Duluth. The wine selection is wonderful and I think they have won a few awards for the list. It is a bit overwhelming but well worth it to try the flights. They give you 4 different wines to sample. Worth it if you don't know exactly what you want. Don't try to ask if you can purchase the little glasses they come in(sooo cute), I found out they are not for sale. The food is always wonderful and extremely fresh. I highly suggest you try it out. TIP: Ask not to sit in the back area where the tables only seat two people, it gets a little crowded and the people next to you can hear your conversation. Better yet ask to sit in the bar, somewhat small, but much better service. If the deck is open, try to get out there too, but watch for seagulls. FYI: Someone else wrote a response to a bartender at the restaurant named Murray. We too loved this kid! His name was Chris Murray and I found out he went to work for a local Duluth legend Jeno Pauluci in Florida. Remember Jeno's Pizza Rolls, Jeno invented them! I think Jeno or his son owns the parent company of Belisios.
