Golden China is bar-none the best Chinese food in the Winona area. I moved away six years ago and still have yet to find a better Chinese restaurant anywhere I've lived since. It has left an unsurpassed legacy in my memory.
When I visit Winona, I always make sure to stop and eat there (often more than once) while I am in town. The quality and taste is consistent and the meat is always well cooked which is hard to find at most Chinese restaurants.
The restaurant is clean, well run, and has NEVER been the stereotypical, "I got grossed out at that Chinese restaurant" experience. Trust me, you know what I'm talking about. Their prices are stable and extremely reasonable. I have never had a bad meal at Golden China. I would absolutely recommend Golden China to anyone in the Winona area. Make sure to try the egg rolls and if you show up for lunch you will get free crab rangoons with your lunch order. Their fried rice is the best.
If you are more of a non-traditional Chinese (aka American-Chinese) food fanatic, TRUST ME you will not be disappointed at Golden China. It is the best.-

Found this place when attending a friend's birthday party there. A very nice restaurant with great food and service. Food is fresh and they r accommodating in preparing my food to my needs (I'm allergic to certain food). Definitely check this place out.

I DON'T THINK THAT THE PEOPLE OF WINONA HAVE HAD REAL CHINESE FOOD BEFORE BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE CALLING CHINESE FOOD HERE IS NOT.
