Cool atmosphere, good microbrew, and great food. Probably my favorite restuarant in the area. I gave 4 stars because the prices are high.

I went to Granite city on new years eve day and was very disappointed by the whole experience. When I arrived I sat at the bar to wait for my friends. It took the bartender a good 10 min to even realize I was there, she was busy talking to another co worker that looked to be off duty. As I sat there I observed the couple across the bar waiting for their food. It was at this time the bartender was told by another waiter that the food was done for the couple. She realized then that she had not served the womans salad. She told the lady this as she was handing them their entree. The couple got their salad in a to go box and finished their meal. I was hopeful that this was not the norm, but I was wrong.
My friends and I were sat and we ordered appitizers. After a long wait we got our apps and ordered our entrees. We were done with the apps but no soup or salad ever arrived. We waited another 20 min and finally got our salads at the same time as our entrees. That is the biggest no no in the bussiness. My 18.00 med rare steak was med well and very tough. I tried a couple of bites, then told the server the problem. He offered to get me a new one but it took so long to get this one I said no. No manager ever came over to say they were sorry or anything. The service at this place is lousy. the food could be good if they had some kitchen help who knew how to cook. I will never go back.

GCFB used to be our favorite restaurant when in St. Cloud. They used to have the best service and the food was always done correctly. Something changed during the last few years. They must have gotten a new manager who has no clue how to hire employees. Lately it seems like there is always something that doesn’t go smoothly; bad service, no utensils, incorrect food.

The brew of the month menu on the tables hasn’t been updated in over two years. Also, they always seem to be out of the brew of the month.

I am a mug club member but lately we have been trying any other place to eat.
