Stub's is a favorite of ours. Not only is the food great, but the last time we were there, my daughter accidently left her college graduation card with $50.00 cash inside laying on our table. She thought of it the next day. But not to worry! The owner of Stub's tracked down my husband's phone number, gave him a call, and said one of the dishwashers had found the card and money, and turned it in! We picked it up a few days later. How's that for integrity of employees?!

We love this place. Food and drinks are great at a reasonable price. We visit every summer and always make it to Stub's!

A yearly tradition: I live in the Kansas City area, but I have relatives near Battle Lake, and everytime I come up we ALWAYS go to Stub's. The food is consistently good, well prepared, and the dining area is very pleasant. I always get the walleye, and it is wonderful! Their steaks are very good as well. To be honest, I would pay 50% more than what their menu prices are and still be very happy! I guess that's the difference between the "small-town" establishment vs. the "big city"; the overhead is less or something. At any rate, if you are in the area, you will HAVE to go! Oh, they serve home-made bread with their salads that is to die for, and their potatoe sides are wonderful, especially the cheese hash browns.
