Dairyland has been my Summer home for at least 20 years. It's not new and it sure isn't fancy, but the owners work hard to produce some of the best young employees in the area. Spend a Summer working for Pat and Jean and you will be better prepared than most college graduates. Oh, the food is always fresh, hot and flavorful.. also worth every penny and more. The atmosphere is old school fun; consume a Deckert and have your name plastered on the wall. Drive in with a 57 Chevy and have your picture put up as well. Let you kids and grandkids leave their art work on the windows. Atmosphere like this can't be programmed or manufactured, it come from owners and employees that love their community, love their work, and want to make you happy. If you haven't stopped in yet you are missing a great experience.
Much of the food is pretty good and seems of quality fast food fare. Horrible french fries, wish the would go back to the crinkle cut ones which were much better, like the Culver's chain serves. Seems really spendy, dinner for 3, usually around 18-25 bucks which for fast food seems high. Best bet is the copycat of the DQ Peanut Buster Parfait, generous with chocolate and peanuts. Great Mushroom Swiss.
