The Ferry Building Farmer's Market can be a fun time if you're in the mood to find ingredients and fresh produce. The building itself looks great, and the Farmer's Market that takes place outside is right along the coast and makes for an enjoyable walk. The farmers and producers usually have all sorts of great offerings. Price are definitely heavily on the steep side but it's still a great time nonetheless. If you go on a Saturday and don't want to hassle with finding parking, I'd park in Embarcadero Center's parking garage.

It's kinda like Whole Foods, but outdoors: We call this the "Rich Man's" Farmer's Market. Farmers are around on Sat. from 8am-2pm.
