Cafe Diciannove is a restaurant in the club house at the golf course. A quick little tidbit about the club. It is owned by the city and managed by an outside firm. It has gone through a huge transformation over the past year as a new management firm is in charge. They just added a restaurant to the club house which also has a pub that they have cleaned up.
The menu is great. A good selection of pasta, chicken, veal, seafood, and others. My wife and I had two chicken dishes. Our daughter had a pasta dish. Our chicken dishes were delicious. The marsala was perfect with some pancetta tossed in which added some great flavor. I can't remember the name on the other dish, but, it was a lighter flavor and each individual flavor came through. My daughter practically licked her plate clean on her pasta dish.
The dining room is small (11 tables) and very welcoming. It appears that a nice function room with a fire place is available for rent. The pub is larger and more informal. The full cafe menu is available in the pub plus an additional pub menu with all the usual (chicken fingers, sausage, burgers, fries...)
This wouldn't be the first place you would expect a great restaurant. I was hopeful when I heard about it and was very pleased when I tried it. We will be going back again and hope they survive. It could be tough being tucked away at the golf course.
